Vicki Wees Interviews: Patsy Wright’s Drawing of 1948 Felton Grove

Robert Wright’s parents bought Felton Grove in 1940. Robert married Patsy. Last year Patsy was kind enough to invite me to her home to tell me about Felton Grove History. She made this drawing of part of Felton Grove. It shows the old, curved Felton Grove sign over the entrance.  Also note the Dance Hall and snack bar at Park Ave and Circle Drive. Her home was built where the old tennis court used to be. The baseball field (where the church parking lot is now) was behind the tennis court. Captain Ed Dougherty’s Boyland Camp was next to the baseball field. Patsy’s drawing represents a portion of Felton Grove, circa 1948.

Patsy Wright’s drawing of Felton Grove done 2011 for Vicki Wees at Patsy’s house.
